One of my ancestors was in the hold of one of those ships sometime in the early 17th Century. You express moral outrage well, but not once did you mention WHY the Europeans did those things, which is the economic system which drove them.

It’s the same basic system that drives the US Empire today—capitalism. The UN resolution doesn’t mention it, either.

Condemning conveniently dead villains does nothing to bring justice to today’s victims of the system, which includes my own family, so I’m here to say the resolution didn’t go far enough in the first place.

“….The enslaver could rape an enslaved woman, produce a child, and own the child. His blood ran in the veins of the people he sold. This was reproductive terrorism with paperwork….”

When trying to understand how their decendants, in 2026 can in unisonr refuse to support a resolution against slavery, or how they can in unison cut off funding to UNRWA while sending the israeli regime weapons to mass murder palestinians…..it is here in this fact you need to look at to understand their heritage, the values coded into their culture.

Anyone who would enslave and sell their own child, well if they can cold-bloodedly do that to their own flesh and blood - completely violate all notions of what it means to be a parent, to reproduce your own genes - what would they NOT do to others?
